Google created a site that provides simple how-to videos on a host of tech subjects.
This is great. Though some (well…ok, most) of the videos tip are glaringly obvious, you’d be surprised — or many not — how many times I get questions about the most simple tasks. The videos appear to lean a little more toward Mac users, but most of the tips are transferable. However, my concern is that not all the keys, shortcuts, nor menus are exactly the same on a Windows computer versus a Mac. Given that the videos are intended for the less-than-tech-savvy family members or friends, I do have some concern about things getting lost in translation. Nevertheless, if you’ve hit your quota of tech questions, or are just tired of seeing people doing things terribly wrong, why not give the tech care package a try? Just note that the site must be getting flooded with hits, because several of the pages are returning “Uh Oh” messages.
