This is the new setup in my home office.

Who woulda thunk that I would be rockin’ not one, but two Apple com­put­ers? I guess that’s the beauty of the human mind. It’s always capa­ble of change. I posted this today, even though I wrote about pick­ing up the com­put­ers months ago, because I finally took the iMac out of the box. I didn’t want to get it set up until I had my office together. How­ever, neces­sity revised those plans. I needed to get some images for Carla processed, and the Toshiba Satel­lite was just not up to the task, and I didn’t feel like load­ing Light­room 3 on my Mac­Book Pro. So far, so good. I thought that I would hate the key­board on the iMac, because it’s so much smaller than a tra­di­tional 104-key key­board. Sur­pris­ingly, though, I find it rather com­fort­able.  In fact, it forces me to keep my hands in a more proper typ­ing posi­tion. Oh, the Magic Mouse is nice, but I think that will be pick­ing up the Magic Track­pad. It is rather amaz­ing how quickly I adapted to the ges­tures on the Mac­Book Pro track­pad. I find myself “acci­den­tally” swip­ing down with two fin­gers on the Toshiba’s track­pad. Yes, I still have and use the Toshiba Satel­lite. It has a 17″ screen, which is nice for view­ing movies and pho­tos. Carla also uses it with an HD web­cam and pro­jec­tor dur­ing her cook­ing classes.

Ok…that’s all for now. I had bet­ter get back to pro­cess­ing images or Carla is going to get me. (She sup­ported the idea of get­ting both com­put­ers if it meant I would focus on my photography.) Here’s a peak at what I’m work­ing on.
