I have been posting some of my favorite quotes by the late Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Today marks the last of the quotes, and I thought it appropriate to end with an expression of love, devotion, and sincere appreciation for his wife, Coretta Scott King.
I am indebted to my wife Coretta, without whose love, sacrifices, and loyalty neither life nor work would bring fulfillment.
I decided to post a favorite quote by Dr. King every day this week, in honor of his life and work.

Philanthropy is commendable,
but it must not cause the philanthropist
to overlook the circumstances of economic injustice
which make philanthropy necessary.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

“The quality, not the longevity, of one’s life is what is important.”
