To know me is to know that I love house music. I am always looking around YouTube and SoundCloud for mixes — particularly for workouts. I’ve seen JaBig on YouTube a lot, but didn’t really dig into his collection until recently. Ok…THIS DUDE is the shit! His mixing skills are tight, and there is a nice diversity of music in his mixes. Add to that, if you subscribe to JaBig’s site, you can download all of the mixes for free. (JaBig ask for people to donate to the United Nations World Food Programme. Done!) I am already eyeballing the capacity on my external music drive. JaBig’s mixes may need their own drive. A lot of JaBig’s mixes are several hours…yes hours…long. I just downloaded a six-hour mix. If you like, or love, house music, do yourself a favor and check out JaBig. If you’re on social media, but sure to check JaBig out on Facebook and/or Twitter.
Here are just a few of his mixes.
Who doesn’t love Tribe?
I mentioned that the dude is diverse, right? Check this out.
It is a new year, and I am mulling over some changes to my blog. Nothing drastic, though. One of the things that is changing is my music series. I am retiring my “now THIS is friday music” post. It had a good run — 88 installments. I’m always listening to music, usually via Rdio, a song will grab me and I want to replay it over and over — kinda like I did when I was a kid with a new 45. Usually what I do is bookmark the song, and then I go back to find more music by the artist. That digging around was what allowed me to produce the Friday music series. Sometimes, the artist was a bit of a one-hit-wonder, and I didn’t find anything else I liked. This left me with some nice singles for various Rdio playlists. So, going forward, I plan to share music as it hits me with no set schedule or order. There may be posts with just one song; while others have multiple tracks featured. It really depends on how much time I have to explore an artist, and what I find digging through that artist’s tracks.
I love sharing music that I find, but I would also like to get some feedback from you. Just as I have turned some of you on to new artists, I’d like if you do the same for me. If you hear a song on here, and think there’s an artist that I might like, please share it on the comments.
Without further ado, here’s who I’m grooving to.

Finally, something a little different from Paralto, with DJ Center.
